There have been so many moments in my life where I’ve had to loosen my grip on dreams I thought were mine. Times when I wanted recognition, when I felt overlooked, underappreciated, or like I wasn’t living up to my own potential. I’ve had seasons where I’ve torn myself apart for not being “enough,” wondering why I couldn’t just be stronger, better, more put‑together.

My Bible reading this morning was in Jeremiah 7, and as I was reading, God drew my attention to this verse: “Return to my place that was in Shiloh… See what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel.”

If you’ve ever looked around and thought, “What is happening to the world?”—you’re not alone. Zephaniah felt that too. He lived in a time when people were trying to clean up their act spiritually, but underneath the surface, things were still messy. Hypocrisy, injustice, and exhaustion were everywhere. Sound familiar?

There are mornings when I wake up determined—today I’m going to be the mom I want to be. I sip my coffee, breathe in the quiet, open my Bible, and feel like maybe—just maybe—I’ve got a handle on this whole life thing.

There’s a single verse tucked into 2 Kings 22 that stopped me in my tracks:

A seed looks so small—quiet, ordinary, almost forgettable. Yet inside that tiny shell is an entire world waiting to burst into life. Plants don’t just grow; they transform through hidden beginnings, dramatic bursts of energy, seasons of waiting, and moments of pruning that make them stronger. And the more you learn about seeds, light, nutrients, and even cold winter pauses, the more you realize: the life of a plant is anything but simple. It’s a story of resilience, timing, and breathtaking design.
